The Value Of Saying I Love You
Wednesday, September 14th, 2011The words of love that someone speaks have a great deal of power. Virtually every individual wants to be unconditionally accepted in one way or another. True love is unconditional acceptance. Unfortunately people do not know how to give what they have not received in the past most of the time.
If an individual has had difficulty in social relationships in the past it will be hard for them to accept unconditional acceptance. People usually want love but feel they are not worthy of it. Most people who have low self-esteem do not know what to do when someone loves them completely.
If an individual is dealing with someone in my life who is not ready to be loved, they should ask for an explanation of their partner’s feelings. When a person understands how another individual feels they will be able to express themselves in a more clear way.
Actions often speak louder than words. When people act in the way that is loving, their conduct usually will send a message to the person they are trying to show love for in some way. Consistency is very important because people usually are looking for inconsistent behavior to prove that a person is not genuine.
Love itself is a gift. The ability to give unconditional acceptance to another person is something that all of us have available within ourselves emotionally. True love means not expecting anything in return from others when we give to them.
Saying I love you is powerful because people often do not feel they are worthy of being accepted. If someone has been through emotional abuse they often will reject feelings of love. When a person has suffered tremendous levels of emotional neglect they often do not know what to do when they are treated with respect.
